The paint on your house should be named on your estimate.
We specify Sherwin-Williams, PPG and Behr, chosen line by line for the surface and its exposure. No vague promises of premium paint.

The short answer
Denver Paint Contractors specifies Sherwin-Williams, PPG and Behr coatings on Denver-area projects, choosing the product line by surface and exposure rather than by brand loyalty. The exact line and sheen are written on every estimate and are never swapped for something cheaper after signing. Low-VOC and zero-VOC options are available on request. Call 720-208-5645.

Why we use itHow we choose
What actually decides which paint goes on your house
| Surface | What it has to survive | What we look for in a product |
|---|---|---|
| South and west siding | The most intense UV of any elevation, plus big daily temperature swings | Top-tier exterior line with strong color retention and flexibility |
| North-facing walls | Shade, slower drying, occasional mildew in damp spots | Good adhesion and mildew-resistant film |
| Trim, fascia and sills | Water sitting on horizontal edges, constant expansion and contraction | Flexible, hard-curing exterior enamel plus quality caulk |
| Stucco and masonry | Moisture moving through the wall, hairline cracking | Breathable masonry coating, not a sealed film |
| Vinyl siding | Heat absorption that can warp panels | Vinyl-safe color collections from Sherwin-Williams or PPG |
| Cabinets and doors | Hands, grease, cleaners and daily contact | Hard-curing cabinet enamel over a bonding primer |
| High-traffic interiors | Scuffs, washing and fingerprints | Washable upper-tier interior line in eggshell or satin |

Questions, answered
Paint brand questions
What paint brands do you use?
Primarily Sherwin-Williams, PPG and Behr. The brand matters less than the specific product line, and the line we specify depends on the surface, the exposure and how the room or elevation gets used. The exact product and sheen appear on your written estimate.
Is expensive paint actually worth it?
On exteriors in Colorado, usually yes. Higher-grade exterior lines generally hold color and flexibility longer under strong UV and freeze-thaw cycles, which is what decides whether you repaint in year six or year ten. Inside, premium lines mostly buy washability and better coverage in deep colors.
Can I pick a different brand?
Yes. If you have a brand or a specific color you love, tell us at the estimate and we will price it. We will also tell you honestly if we think a different line will perform better on that surface.
Do you mark up the paint?
Materials are a line item on your estimate, so you can see what is being used and what it costs. The October 25% discount applies to labor, not to paint and materials.
Where do you buy paint in Denver?
Professional lines come from paint stores and dealers, not from clearance shelves. Sherwin-Williams operates stores across the metro, PPG professional lines come from PPG stores and dealers, and Behr is sold through The Home Depot.
What about low-VOC and low-odor paint?
All three brands make low-VOC interior lines, and Colorado adopted tighter VOC limits for architectural coatings in 2020. If anyone in the home is sensitive, ask and we will specify a zero-VOC product and plan ventilation.
